wi-fi comes to itasca state park
Broadband Internet Connection Established at the Headwaters

In partnership with Minnesota DNR, we are proud to announce broadband internet is now available at the Mississippi Headwaters Hostel. For those of you who can't vacation without checking in at the office via email - your worries are over. We now have a wi-fi network at the hostel!
Given the remote location of the hostel, this is quite a breakthrough. Heretofore we only had 24K dial-up connection (which is geek speak for reeeeally slooow!) The DNR has also established a few wi-fi hotspots within in the park. This is the only state park in MN with wi-fi.
"These updates will really allow us to upgrade our communications at the hostel" said Jeremy Weizel, Program Coordinator for HI-MN. "With voicemail, and better online communications with our hostel guests, we are finally living in the 21st century at the Headwaters."
There are still plenty of weekends open this summer at the Mississippi Headwaters Hostel. Come meet Michelle Vidovic, our new hostel manager. Learn more about the hostel...
